Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a registered pharmacy technician to join our team. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for non-sterile compounding pharmacy operations, compliance packaging, and various duties within the full scope of pharmacy technician responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will lead and expand our compounding services, playing a pivotal role in daily compounding operations, preparing customized medication formulations, and adhering to established guidelines. Given our service to several retirement homes in the Waterloo Region, the successful candidate will also assist in assembling, verifying, and distributing compliance packaging.
As a regulated healthcare professional, we expect the successful candidate to collaborate closely with pharmacists in providing comprehensive patient care services, including verifying prescription technicalities, administering COVID-19 and/or influenza vaccines, and performing certain point-of-care tests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge of current NAPRA guidelines and provincial regulations pertaining to non-sterile compounding.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by providing guidance and support, in coordination with our dedicated pharmacy team.
- Foster effective collaboration with pharmacists and colleagues to uphold superior levels of patient care and ensure utmost satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must hold a valid license and registration as a pharmacy technician in Ontario and maintain good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
- Minimum of 2 years of compounding experience in a pharmacy setting.
- Meticulous attention to detail and adeptness in comprehending intricate instructions.
- Exceptional communication skills coupled with a dedication to customer service excellence.
- Firm commitment to upholding stringent standards of quality and prioritizing patient safety above all else.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 ? 40 per week
