*Responsibilities:*
· Develop and implement HR strategies and initiative aligned with the overall business strategy.
· Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of employees.
· Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
· Creating and maintaining numerous tracking databases.
· Preparation of documents and reports.
· Undertaking onboarding and termination processes.
· Nurturing a positive working environment and being a steward for workplace engagement.
· Networking in community and providing support for pertinent programs to funnel talent.
· Working closely with Provincial and Federal programs to understand subsidies and funding programs available to businesses.
· Developing and attending job fairs both virtually and in person.
· Monitor and maintain subsidy programs and reimbursements.
· Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
· Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
· Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
*Requirements:*
· Proven working experience in an HR department.
· People oriented and results driven.
· Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
· Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
· Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Comfortable training, speaking, and facilitating in classroom settings and externally.
· Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
· Strong knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS office Word, Excel).
· Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware.
· Accuracy, attention to detail and time management skills are necessary.
· Knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
· Degree in Human Resources or related field is an asset.
