As the Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing product information while building and maintaining relationships with customers and ensuring high customer satisfaction. These responsibilities include but are not limited to addressing and resolving customer complaints, reviewing orders, preparing sales plans, monitoring inventories, and providing administrative support. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for adhering to Conestoga Meats' core values through day-to-day interactions.WHY WORK AT CONESTOGA MEATS?Growing company with opportunity to grow with team and departmentStable full-time hours; no rotating shiftsEmployee referral bonus program (minimum $300 per hire)Competitive benefits package for you and your family at 3 months of servicePension plan and company matching at 1 year of serviceFloater day given on top of vacation daysDiverse workforce; translation of communication materials into 8 languagesDiscounts on quality pork productsEmployee assistance program (financial assistance, mental health resources)Social Committee events (food trucks, gifts, games)BBQ's and wellness programsOn-site training and company provided equipmentEmployee scholarship program and English coursesKEY JOB FUNCTIONS / ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain daily contact with customers to solicit order requirements, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and engagementReview and process standing and new orders and offers daily (fresh and frozen)Data entry for internal/external customers (customer orders and offers, employee orders, donation orders, etc.)Ensure customer account contact information is up to date (price sheets, call sheets, etc.)Ensure the sales binders are up to date (Standing orders, future orders, etc.)Monitor daily volume and inventories versus forecastsPreparation and maintenance of required customer credit notes and customer complaint forms/processMaintain accurate records of pricing and sales for customersProvide support for the development of proposals and presentationsProvide support/backup for account managers (shorts, order entries, warehouse movements, book tours, etc.)Generate and monitor daily sell list and rotation listMaintain and create necessary reports (short report, closing sales report, etc.)Run daily pick tickets and prepare for shippingAdhere to all company policies and business code of ethicsPersonal DevelopmentAttend company-required trainingRemain current with technical knowledge in areas of responsibilityAttend regular 1:1 coaching/update sessionsQUALIFICATIONS:Team playerMinimum 2 years of customer service/sales experienceCollege diploma or greaterExperience in the meat industry is an assetExcellent customer service and relationship-building skillsStrong data entry/management skills with a focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and prioritizationIndependent worker with the ability to learn quicklyExperienced in Microsoft Office, with a minimum of intermediate-level Excel knowledgeKEY COMPETENCIES:Accountability and InitiativeTakes initiative and demonstrates a "do whatever it takes" work ethic to get the job doneConsistently delivers on personal targetsHelps assess the pros and cons of taking a risk, and makes recommendations on the best course of actionService ExcellenceMaintains genuine relationships with customers over time, and stays on top of changing business needsProactively clarifies expectations with customers to get things right the first timeDisplays personal ownership and a sense of urgency over any issues or complaints that arise from the customer experienceCommunicating with ClarityListens attentively and probes to clearly understand the nuance of others' thoughtsCommunicates in a manner that is straightforward and easy to understandAnswers questions in a professional mannerWORKING CONDITIONSWorking with challenging requests/callsIf this sounds like the job for you, please submit your resume online at https://conestogameats.prevueaps.com/jobs
