*SENIOR ACCOUNTANT*
RareBuilt Homes is an award winning Calgary home builder, building luxury custom homes in the Calgary region for over two decades. We are looking for a *Senior Accountant* to help bolster the team and participate in the future growth of the company. This position will report directly to the CFO and will be an important part of the F&A team, with access to all aspects of the financial and accounting processes. We are not looking for someone to stay in the same, static role for the next 5 years, we are looking for someone that is willing to take the opportunity to learn and develop and progress upwards in the company.
We are a small team, so this role will have a broad set of tasks and in addition to reoccurring tasks, will be involved in many ad hoc projects as needed. We work in a fast-paced environment that can sometimes be challenging, but the trade off is that it offers the opportunity to develop skills and experience at a much faster pace.
*WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:*
- Preparation of internal monthly financial reporting package
- Year end financial statement preparation for numerous entities
- Project cost tracking
- Budget to actual analysis
- Managing treasury function
- Responsible for preparing and submitting monthly bank draws
- Account reconciliation
- WCB, New Home Warranty and other reporting
- GST return preparation and filings and various other tax filings
*REQUIRED SKILLS*
- Advanced Excel skills, with high proficiency with other Microsoft office products
- Creative thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral skills (English)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet a variety of deliverables
*EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE*
- Previous experience in home building and/or construction industry is highly preferred
- Accounting or business diploma
- Minimum 5 years experience
