To find out more, visit our website atwww.stannes.ca We invite applications for a full-time teaching opportunity at St. Annes School in the role of English and Social Science teacher reporting to the Assistant Head of School, Director of Upper School. This position will begin in August 2024. The school seeks an exceptional educator to teach English and Social Science subjects at the Middle School and Senior School levels. The individual in this role will collaborate with colleagues to ensure program excellence, with an expectation of high standards of learning, student progress, and support. In consultation with members of the faculty and the Associate Director, Academics, the English and Social Science teacher will be expected to prepare and deliver an innovative and inclusive curriculum, compelling instructional practices, and consistent department policy and alignment with the Growing Success criteria.We seek applications from individuals who are certified teachers holding a Bachelor of Education, with an Honours Specialist in English or Social Studies, and who have several years of experience teaching English or Social science, either at the Middle or Upper School level. Candidates will bring a thorough understanding of the Ontario curriculum and the Growing Success requirements. Other key requisites of this role include demonstrated leadership and communication skills and a sustained commitment to professional growth and improvement. Additionally, we seek candidates with a demonstrated willingness to participate in and/or lead EDI (equity, diversity, and inclusion) initiatives within the community.In support of our growing program, we seek coaches in a range of sports, and we encourage applicants to include their coaching expertise and qualifications in their application.We seek educators who can engage, empower, and actively prepare young women to fulfill their role in the world, and who will assist in the building of a progressive, supportive, and innovative community.
