Our total compensation package offers job security, health, dental, EFAP, vision care and life insurance. The salary range for a Credit Manager is $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 (based on education and experience).
*The Role*
The heart of this role is to support the Assistant Controller managing the credit and collection function across the NWTC group of companies. This role will work collaboratively across departments and dealerships to ensure that accounts and financial records meet established standards and criteria.
*Overview of responsibilities*
*Credit & Collections? 60 % of your time is spent here*
* Monitor and collect Accounts Receivable to minimize the customer accounts that are/become past due, which includes contacting customer via telephone or e-mail to request payment.
* Update & maintain all customer master file information
* Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries in a prompt manner
* Ensure adherence to corporate credit policies and procedures for consistent handling of collection maters to maintain good customer relations
* Make credit decisions within assigned authority (high volume of credit override requests)
* Establish credit limits for new customers and monitor accounts based on current financial information, business history and current credit report
*General Accounting Tasks ? 20% of your time is spent here*
* Account Reconciliations
* Sending invoices, statements and payment reminders to customers
* Assist posting customer payments recording cash, check and credit cards
* Other accounting/finance projects as assigned by the Assistant Controller
* Submission of customer invoices using 3rd party portals and ensuring acceptance of invoices and resolving rejections in timely manner
*Leadership & Reports? 20% of your time is spent here*
* Leading monthly Accounts Receivable review meetings and providing reports, analysis and updates on significant past due balances, potential collection issues and significant customer credit decisions
* Manage and train junior staff
* Producing Year End reports for Audit including AR and AFDA
* Support for Year End audit
*Education/Certification*
* 3-5 years experience with Account Receivable is required
* Credit designation (or pursuing credit designation), is an asset
*Experience*
* Minimum 2 years experience in managing others
* Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, etc.
* Must be extremely organized in order to handle the volume of requests/customers
* Proficient in both spoken and written English in order to communicate effectively with customers
* Capable of maintaining strong customer relationships
* Punctual, meticulous and reliable
* Courteous to both customers and employees
