Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Install sprinkler heads and mount prepared pipe in supports. Select, measure, cut, ream and thread pipe. Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment. Install clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping system and sprinkler and fire protection equipment, using hand and power tools. Installs valves, alarms and associated equipment. Service and repair sprinkler system. Install supports, valves, piping and control systems. Test system for leaks using testing equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Cut materials using power tools or by hand. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Sprinkler System Installer Trade Certification. Sprinkler System Installer Red Seal Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Driver's License. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate. Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Apprenticeship training: Level one apprenticeship training. Level two apprenticeship training. Level three apprenticeship training. Level four apprenticeship training. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Tight deadlines. Handling heavy loads.
