Job Summary: We are seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanics to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various types of heavy equipment used in the logging and road construction industries. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. Responsibilities: - Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment - Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot equipment problems - Assemble and disassemble heavy equipment components as needed - Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and ensure equipment is in safe working condition - Repair or replace defective parts - Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and inspections - Weld and fabricate parts as necessary - Operate heavy equipment as required for testing and diagnostic purposes Requirements: - Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role - Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to work independently or as part of a team - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Preferred: - Heavy Equipment Technician license would be an asset If you have the skills and experience required for this position, we would love to hear from you.
