*Responsibilities*:
Grant Identification and Research:
* Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential grant opportunities aligned with the organization's mission and projects.
* Stay updated on funding trends, guidelines, and eligibility criteria from various government agencies, foundations, and private donors.
Proposal Development:
* Write compelling and well-articulated grant proposals, applications, and letters of inquiry.
* Customize proposals to meet the specific requirements and priorities of different funding sources.
Collaboration and Coordination:
* Collaborate with program managers, subject matter experts, and finance teams to gather information and data needed for grant applications.
* Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment between proposed projects and funder priorities.
Budgeting:
* Work closely with the finance department to develop accurate and realistic budgets for grant proposals.
* Ensure that proposed budgets align with the funder's guidelines and requirements.
Proposal Submission:
* Manage the timely submission of grant proposals, ensuring that all required documentation and attachments are included.
* Monitor and track the status of submitted proposals.
Relationship Building:
* Cultivate and maintain relationships with grant-making organizations, program officers, and other relevant stakeholders.
* Attend conferences, workshops, and networking events to stay connected with potential funders.
Grant Reporting:
* Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports to grantors, detailing project progress, outcomes, and financial expenditures.
* Ensure compliance with reporting requirements outlined in grant agreements.
Compliance and Ethics:
* Stay informed about legal and ethical considerations related to grant writing and fundraising.
* Ensure compliance with all regulations and guidelines governing grant applications and reporting.
Grant Management:
* Collaborate with the program team to ensure effective implementation of funded projects.
* Monitor grant timelines, milestones, and deliverables to meet funder expectations.
*Qualifications*:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, etc.).
* Proven experience in grant writing, with a track record of successfully securing funding.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong research and analytical skills.
* Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
* Familiarity with various grant-making organizations and their application processes.
* Knowledge of budgeting principles and financial reporting.
*Preferred*:
* Master's degree in a related field.
* Certification in grant writing or fundraising.
* Experience working in the nonprofit sector.
* Familiarity with relevant industry-specific terminology and regulations.
