*Hours of Work:* Monday-Friday 8:30 ? 4:30 with some flexibility in hours (37.5 hours per week) on site ? some potential remote hours could be negotiated
*Location:* Penticton, BC Canada
*Wage & Benefits:* $92,702.00 - $115,877.00 - Includes a comprehensive health benefits package.
The OSNS Child and Youth Development Centre is a vibrant, not-for-profit organization providing clinical therapy and support services to children and youth with a variety of developmental needs in the centre, community and family homes. OSNS is a family-centered, child-focused environment and enjoys close community partnerships. We are continuously evolving to reflect best practices within our integrated team which includes; Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech and Language Pathology Therapists, Early Childhood Educators, Behavior Analyst, Therapy Aides, Family Support Services and an Administrative team.
This role functions as part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team and will require that our Centre?s vision and values be represented with spirit and professionalism.
The Director of Finance Services will work as part of the leadership team in financial matters, while reporting to the Executive Director guiding the financial policy and direction of the OSNS Child and Youth Development Centre. This role performs a range of complex administrative finance tasks related to accounting, personnel, and direction of supports services. This role involves considerable independent judgement in fiscal decisions, advising and assisting the Finance Committee of the Board of Director?s.
Skill and Ability to:
* Guide financial decisions of the organization?s operations based on generally accepted accounting principles.
* Working with the Executive Director and Board Finance committee to collaborate on budget planning, and performance and variance reporting.
* Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting cash flow analysis and internal audits.
* Oversee payroll, pension plan reporting, benefit packages, and union records.
* Performance of other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
* CPA designation, or a CPA PEP accepted candidate, or a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience including accounting.
* 5 or more years of accounting, administrative management and financial systems development, and human resource experience.
* Ability to deal with a wide range of strategically, operationally significant and time sensitive fiscal issues.
* Experience in community social services with knowledge of non-profit based programs.
* Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience with a unionized environment and Boards an asset.
* Ability to work independently and use a cooperative approach.
* Ability to provide an acceptable criminal record check.
