Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Tasks: Advise clients on beauty care treatments. Analyze hair and scalp condition. Book appointments. Provide custom hair and scalp treatment. Shampoo customers' hair. Provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages. Supervise other hair stylists and other staff. Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair. Apply hair extensions. Clean and style wigs and hair pieces. Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences. Perform receptionist duties. Maintain and order supplies. Hair styling techniques: Blow drying.
