Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Confined spaces. Noisy. Cold/refrigerated. Hot. Tasks: Move tools, equipment and other materials. Help tradespersons, apprentices and other workers as directed. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Measure, cut and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment. Measure and lay out reference points for installation. Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components. Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices. Perform maintenance such as, recharging system with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators or calibrating system. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Occupational Health and Safety Certificate. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own vehicle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Handling heavy loads. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills.
