<p>Human Resource Services Advisor <p>(Employee and Labour Relations)<p>Reports to: Manager of Human Resource Services <p>Location: Central Offices of the Board <p>Works a regular thirty-five hour [35] hours per week, Monday to Friday, 12 months per year <p>Under the direction of the Manager of Human Resource Services, the Human Resource Services Advisor working with the Employee and Labour Relations portfolios will focus on the development and implementation of proactive and responsive employee and labour relations strategies to foster a culture of well-being within the Board which is aligned with the Boards Multi-Year Strategic Plan. <p>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: <p> Completion of a post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate program in a related field, and a minimum of five (5) years experience in the areas of employee relations and labour relations, including experience with compensation and pay equity. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.<p> CHRP/CHRL designation an asset. <p> Demonstrated commitment and passion to excel in the delivery of superior customer service.<p> Ability to manage, engage, lead, and create innovative solutions.<p> Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, facilitation, planning and organization skills.<p> Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, balance competing priorities, and move projects forward.<p> Excellent interpersonal skills exhibiting confidentiality, diplomacy, negotiation, conflict resolution and issue-based problem-solving skills.<p> Demonstrated strength in relationship building and promotion of a collaborative culture with the ability to function effectively in a team environment, with peers, administrators, staff, unions, outside agencies, and others.<p> Must be able to deal with difficult situations and/or people in a tactful and diplomatic manner.<p> Self-driven with a strong sense of urgency, resourcefulness, and the ability to work independently and collectively to create positive influence across the Board. <p> Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel locally within the district as required.KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS: Establish, coordinate, and maintain a strategy for the administration of pay equity and job evaluation programs and processes for unionized and non-unionized employee groups; participate as the co-chair for the job evaluation committee and liaise with an external consultant, as required.<p> Develop, establish, and maintain a defensible process for conducting and organizing workplace fact-finding meetings and investigations related to CAS investigations, workplace harassment and workplace conduct investigations as required.<p> Lead workplace conduct, CAS and workplace harassment and violence investigations.<p> Develop and enhance departmental processes and procedures related to information and record management and retention within the Human Resource Services Department.<p> Develop and enhance departmental processes and procedures related to labour relations including grievance, mediation, and arbitration proceedings and hearings, collective bargaining, and the contract administration process.<p> Develop, coordinate, and maintain the performance management and appraisal process for non-academic employee groups.<p> Focus strategically on proactive and preventative strategies to champion and establish an improved culture for the Board, with a continuous improvement mindset and customer service focus, which is aligned with the Boards Multi-year Strategic Plan.<p> Track changes in relevant legislation, collective agreements, employment contracts, benefit programs and arbitral/judicial jurisprudence to ensure that these changes are reflected in policies, procedures, and practices.<p> Dev
