Then this may be the place for you!Purpose of Position <p>As a key member of the CFIS Senior and Pedagogical Leadership Teams, CFIS's Principal of Secondary School is responsible for the day-to-day organization and operation of the Secondary School (Grades 6 to 12). The Principal of Secondary School takes a leadership role in ensuring excellence in the delivery of instruction, provides a supportive and nurturing environment for students, fosters growth and professional development for faculty and staff and ensures that the mission, vision and values of CFIS are reflected in the operating philosophy and school culture. In addition, they are a key contributor to the school's strategic planning and vision and mission development.Qualifications: <p> Bachelor of Education required, Master's degree preferred or alternately Post Graduate studies towards a Masters degree.<p> Previous Leadership Experience.<p> Knowledge of accreditation and compliance with International Baccalaureate , Round Square, UNESCO and Canadian Accredited Independent Schools preferred.<p> Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate or Alberta Interim Teaching Certificate or be in the process of obtaining a Teaching Authority from a Canadian province.<p> Valid Alberta Leadership Certificate, or in the process of acquiring.<p> Fluently bilingual (French and English).<p> Valid Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.Core Areas of Responsibility: Leading Roles: Leadership and management of CFIS's Secondary School, including student, faculty, staff and parent relations.<p> Lead, coach, manage and evaluate faculty and staff in the Secondary School Division.<p> Lead, coach, manage and evaluate Secondary School's Curriculum Leaders and Grade Level Coordinators.<p> Develop and manage the timetable, teaching assignments and room allocations.<p> Develop the school calendar in collaboration with the Head of School and other Principals and Directors.<p> Manage the day-to-day organization and operation of the Secondary School including meetings, assemblies, communications and special events.<p> Oversee the Secondary School's co-curricular program.<p> Ensure high-quality delivery of instruction and curriculum implementation.<p> Coordinate delivery of the Secondary School curriculum.<p> Implement strategic goals in the Secondary School.<p> Oversee professional development and funding approval for teachers within the Secondary School.<p> Review Teacher Professional Growth Plans and other Growth Plans with faculty and staff in the Secondary School.<p> Create, implement and monitor student learning Action Plans in collaboration with students- LocationCalgary, AB
