We reflect Montreal DNA as we share the same <strong>attraction factors</strong>: broad cultural diversity, knowledge base economy, openness onto the world and peaceful coexistence based on respect.</p><p>We are looking for a <strong>Tax Specialist</strong> to offer efficient strategies to individuals and corporations to help them minimize their global tax liabilities (Canadian and American taxation). The person will carry out moderately complex engagements autonomously. Main responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Apply Canadian and American taxation laws. Identify non-respect cases, incorrect application, and interpretation and non-compliance issues. Form appropriate conclusions and recommendations.</li><li>Provide clear internal communication on various Canadian and American taxation issues.</li><li>Offer compliance and planning services to Canadian businesses with commercial activities in the US.</li><li>Offer taxation and estate planning advice to American citizens living in Canada and to Canadian citizens working or with commercial activities in the US, or investing in US assets.</li><li>Participate in dispute analysis and settlements with tax authorities.</li><li>Develop and implement strategies for clients to maximize business opportunities.</li><li>Identify and document various tax positions, including risk analysis.</li><li>Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, and trusts; and other tax forms.Produce various tax researches (Canadian and American taxation).</li><li>Find answer to Canadian and American taxation questions.</li><li>Document researches with tax notes or clients? memos.Inform immediate supervisor of needs and met/expected issues, in a timely manner.</li><li>Participate in Canadian and American taxation training content.</li><li>Act as an internal facilitator.</li></ul> <br> <ul><li>Relational and communication skills.</li><li>Client-Oriented.</li><li>Ability to manage stress, priorities, and confidentiality.</li><li>Analytical mind and team spirit.</li><li>Ability to respect instructions and deadlines.</li><li>Reliable, organized, and meticulous.</li><li>Resourceful and autonomous.</li><li>Ability to adapt and multitask.</li><li>Ability to demonstrate own potential by taking on additional responsibilities.</li></ul>
