Through group and individual counseling sessions and on the basis of academic history, the counselor will advise students on their individual educational and career paths.</p><p><br>He/she will be required to collaborate in the organization of school-to-work activities, study sessions, as well as promoting both in-school and external school activities related to career orientation.</p><p><br>The Guidance Counselor also provides support to help students solve problems they encounter in both their learning and social environment. This could involve aptitude, interests, motivation and personality evaluations in order to develop individual action plans.</p><p><br>Collaboration with school personnel, parents, teaching institutions, the business world and government agencies is an essential component of this position</p><p><span><span><span><b><span><span><span>Desired profile</span></span></span></b></span></span></span></p><p>Be a member of the Ordre des conseillers et conseillères d?orientation du Québec.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Other requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Demonstrate ability to work in French and English</li><li>Well organized and able to prioritize</li><li>Excelllent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to build relationships with students</li></ul></div>
