*Overview:*
We're seeking a driven *Production Engineering Manager* to support our engineering and production team. In this role, you'll handle tasks like setting up and improving production processes, overseeing contractors and team members, and ensuring projects are completed on time to meet market demands. You'll also be vital in coordinating projects that boost sales and collaborating with clients, contractors, consultants, and our project team to ensure successful outcomes.
*Key Responsibilities*:
- Prepare, process, clean, install, assemble, rework, verify, test, solder, and/or inspect electronic and mechanical components, hardware, sub-assemblies and final products.
- Use work instructions, drawings, methods, diagrams, standards or other specifications in accordance with established assembly procedures.
- Manage product inventory level based on quotations, project commitments, and product lead times to achieve an always-available capacity on specified quantities of critical product chains.
- Maintain internal inventory management software system for WIP products, inventory, and shipping products.
- Process the final assembly of electronics, connectors, and housings into a complete package ready for shipping.
- Outline production requirements from high-level project projections and communicate with the operations director on delivery schedules.
- Manage purchase orders to facilitate sales and/or production.
- Manage the product certification process ? CSA/UL/FCC/FM for various components and SMT systems.
- Ability to read and comprehend Specs and Drawings to provide a quality estimate.
- Prepare materials, labour, and equipment cost estimations necessary to carry out a project successfully according to proposals, plans, estimates, and specifications.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Roof Consultants and Product Representatives
- Support research experiments; IRAP Conventional roof development, displacement, outdoor enclosures, new product testing plans and work instructions, and general solution development.
- Assist the Engineering and Production teams on various projects/issues as required.
*Qualifications:*
- Integrated Engineering Degree / Mechanical, Electrical, Computer or Mechatronics Engineering diploma or equivalent experience is an asset.
- 2+ years of electronic/mechanical assembly experience
- Excellent attention to detail and patience working with components, parts and tools.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new working methods and procedures.
- Proficient with computers, technology, electronics and control system construction assemblies.
- Highly motivated and organized, with the ability to accept ambiguity and deliver exceptional results on tight schedules.

*Requirements:*
? Mandatory: 2+ years of electronic/mechanical assembly experience
? Mandatory: Excellent attention to detail and patience working with components, parts and tools
? Mandatory: Willingness to learn on the job about SMT technologies
? Mandatory: Ability to read, understand and do quantity take offs from construction plans
? Preferred: Construction industry experience
? Preferred: Understanding construction principles and procedures
? Preferred: Understanding of electrical and electronic fundamentals
