Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Work setting: Barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio. Tasks: Advise clients on beauty care treatments. Analyze hair and scalp condition. Book appointments. Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences. Shampoo customers' hair. Shave and trim beards and mustaches. Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair. Perform receptionist duties. Maintain and order supplies. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Barbering Trade Certification. Hair styling techniques: Blow drying. Roller setting. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Standing for extended periods.
