ABOUT GRACE

Grace has served the Waterdown community since 1860, offering food security, social, spiritual, educational, cultural, and community building programs for people of all ages and abilities.
NATURE OF POSITION
This position is responsible for a variety of outreach and property related tasks.
OUTLINE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
PRIMARY
* Assist with delivering the activities associated with various programs, including youth programming, Graceful Abilities Day Program, the Grace Community Gardens, the Grace Cemetery, and Food with Grace Waterdown Food Bank that meet the participants needs in accordance with the organizational and programmatic policies, procedures, and practices.
* Assist with planning activities and opportunities for various grace programs, including youth programs and the Graceful Abilities Day Program, including, but not limited to, providing input into monthly calendar, and completing program plans for all programs.
* Participate in the completion of essential documentation thoroughly and within time requirements, including but not limited to, progress notes, incident reporting, attendance records, program plans and program evaluation.
* Report any concerns brought forward by the youth, clients, program participants, neighbors, etc. or related to safety to the Rector in a timely manner for follow up.
* Assist with maintaining all public health standards and inspection documents.
* Maintain effective communication with the team (staff, volunteers, students, clients and caregivers and community resources).
* Assist with caring for and harvesting from the Grace Community Garden, including but not limited to watering, weeding, and harvesting.
* Perform other related duties as required.
SUBSIDIARY
* Assist with registration and other forms.
* Assist with activities of daily living when working with Graceful Abilities Day Program participants.
* Assist with compiling program reports on activities and milestones.
* Assist with maintaining accurate records and prepare written reports as required.
* Undertake cleaning when required.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Is supportive of the life and ethos of the Anglican Church of Canada and its expression at Grace.
* Possesses excellent interpersonal skills: a people-oriented person, committed to teamwork.
* Is compassionate and inclusive of people of all abilities.
* Experience working with people who have disabilities is an asset.
* Is proficient with technology, including Windows, Microsoft Office, and email programs, and can instruct others on how to use it.
* Experience working with seniors is an asset.
* Behaves in a manner that builds trust and demonstrates sound judgment.
* Is able to work independently and in a team environment.
* Possesses a willingness to learn and grow.
