*Sales Representative ? Inside / Outside*
The Sales Representative position reports to the General Manager and is a key role in the success of the business. As part of the Sales team, the incumbent will establish and continually build productive partnerships with industry stakeholders in an 'outside sales' role with the focus of building repeat business relationships.
The incumbent will start with an Inside Sales focus, adding outside sales activity over the first 4-8 months, with Outside Sales becoming the predominant activity by the end of the first year in the role. The timeline of this transition will be based on the prior experience and competencies of the selected candidate.
*Key Responsibilities:*
· Review and interpretation of construction drawings and specifications from homeowners, architects, and general contractors.
· Preparation of competitive bids of labour and materials and other related products.
· Submission of shop drawings and related construction documents.
· Consult with staff technicians to confirm specific installation parameters and details.
· Compile closing and follow up documents after completion of contracts.
· Assist with other related estimating and sales duties within the organization.
· Sourcing new sales opportunities.
*Requirements:*
· 2 years of professional sales and estimating experience in a commercial and/or residential building products environment; experience with construction, roofing, and glazing is a distinct advantage.
· Advanced experience and expertise with sub-trade bid tendering processes.
· Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience in CAD applications and drawing required.
· Detail orientated and accurate.
· Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and an individual drive to succeed while always being a strong team player.
· Customer service oriented, with the ability to always represent in a positive manner, maintaining a professional tone and approach to both verbal and written communications.
· Integrity and Accountability.
· Willingness to learn and maintain a high level of product and industry knowledge.
· Completion of a high school diploma, with post-secondary education related to sales/business, construction, architecture or engineering an asset.
· Valid Class 5 Driver?s License.
