We are seeking a skilled and experienced Onsite Ventilation Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. As a Sheet Metal Worker specializing in ventilation systems, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various ventilation and HVAC ductwork systems. Your expertise in fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components will ensure the optimal functioning and efficiency of ventilation systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
*Responsibilities:*
Fabrication and Assembly: Utilize blueprints, specifications, and measurements to fabricate and assemble sheet metal components, including ducts, fittings, and other ventilation system parts.
Installation: Perform onsite installation of ventilation systems, ensuring precise alignment, proper sealing, and adherence to safety regulations and building codes.
Ductwork Modification: Modify existing ductwork systems as required, integrating new components or making adjustments for improved system performance.
Repair and Maintenance: Identify and repair damaged or malfunctioning ventilation components, such as leaks, cracks, or worn-out parts, to restore optimal system operation.
Insulation and Sealing: Apply insulation and sealing materials to ducts and fittings to enhance energy efficiency and prevent heat loss or gain.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of completed installations to ensure they meet quality standards, performance criteria, and safety regulations.
Collaboration: Coordinate with other tradespeople, contractors, and project managers to ensure effective communication and seamless integration of ventilation systems within larger construction projects.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to occupational health and safety guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
*Qualifications:*
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Sheet Metal Worker with a focus on ventilation and HVAC systems.
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Experience with sheet metal fabrication tools and machinery, including shears, brakes, and welding equipment.
Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards pertaining to ventilation system installation and maintenance.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify issues within ventilation systems and develop effective solutions.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in measurements, fabrication, and installation to ensure precise and accurate outcomes.
Team Player: Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within project teams.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in sheet metal work, ventilation, or HVAC installation are a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.26-$40.75 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
