McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association is searching for a Human Resources Manager to join our Human Resources Team in Edmonton. *What you?ll do:*
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager will lead a team of three and play a key role in re-shaping our talent acquisition strategy to make sure we get the right people with the right skills in the right roles at McMan. The successful candidate will provide direct support and advice to managers on varied and complex employee relations and performance management issues; and demonstrate deep skill, knowledge and expertise while supporting the Director with the development and/or enhancement of critical programs, policies and initiatives including succession planning, organizational design, and engagement and recognition.
*Key areas of focus will include:*
· Manage the recruitment function, provide effective leadership to a team of two recruiters and the HR Administrator.
· Collaborate, communicate, and work effectively with the HR team, management, and other internal/external key stakeholders.
· Lead the full-scale evaluation and enhancement of current recruitment strategies, practice, and processes.
· Play a key role in employer branding activities. Design, administer and monitor advertising through various avenues.
· Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters including performance management, disciplinary actions, complaints, and conflict resolution.
· Support the HR Director with key HR initiatives, including HRIS implementation, employee engagement and recognition, and succession planning.
· Play a key role in the development and/or redesign of HR policy, position descriptions, and exit interviews.
· Responsible for HR reporting, metrics and data analysis as assigned.
*What you bring:*
· A degree in Human Resource, Management or Organizational Development, progressive HR generalist experience, and a minimum five years? experience in an HR Manager role in a mid-sized organization. Equivalencies may be considered.
· Demonstrated experience in leading and implementing strategic initiatives and projects of varied scopes and significance, using sound project management and change management principles.
· Effective communication and problem-solving skills are required. Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills are essential.
· Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills; the ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders.
· Demonstrated experience managing and analyzing data, interpreting findings, communicating analysis and results, and making recommendations based on findings.
· A recruitment and/or human resources designation is preferred. Additional certification in change and project management is desirable.
