<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>Job Description: Assistant Controller</p><p>We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our team in Concord, Ontario, Canada. As an Assistant Controller, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth. You will be responsible for conducting financial research, preparing reports, and collaborating with various departments to optimize financial performance.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ol><li>Perform financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations for cost reduction and revenue enhancement in a fast paced manufacturing environment</li><li>Analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to assess financial performance and identify trends.</li><li>Assist in costing accounting - with knowledge and understanding of financial reporting and consolidation of multiple reports to create final version for executives</li><li>Develop and maintain financial models and tools to support financial planning and analysis activities.</li><li>Conduct profitability analysis and provide insights on product pricing, customer profitability, and market trends.</li><li>Assist in the preparation of financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior management and stakeholders.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and evaluate investment opportunities, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.</li><li>Monitor and analyze key financial metrics, market trends, and economic indicators to identify potential risks and opportunities.</li><li>Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.</li><li>Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support to various departments and management as required.</li><li>Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes to ensure accurate and relevant financial analysis.</li></ol><p>Requirements:</p><ol><li>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.</li><li><strong>Previous experience in Manufacturing industry is a strong asset</strong>.</li><li>Current accreditation or working towards CPA, CFA, FRM designation or other related degree or designation is an Asset.</li><li>Minimum five years of work experience as a Financial Analyst or senior accounting specialist or similar roles.</li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex financial data.</li><li>Proficiency in costing accounting, financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools. Knowledge of financial software systems (e.g., ERP, CRM) is desirable.</li><li>Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial metrics.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.</li><li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.</li><li>Knowledge of the Canadian financial regulatory environment and compliance requirements.</li></ol><p> </p></div>Company Description<div>Perpetual Motion Enterprises has been in the forefront of designing and manufacturing devices for the home healthcare, rehab and wheelchair industries for the past 15 years.
