Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Before and after school programs. Tasks: Supervise staff, trainees or volunteers. Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts. Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Child development assistant (ECE level 1). Child development worker (ECE level 2). Emergency child care first aid and CPR. Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate. Target audience: Children. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Vulnerable sector check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Personal suitability: Punctuality. Efficient interpersonal skills.
