Job details
Education: Bachelor's degree. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Develop and print photographs. Adapt existing photographic images and create new digitized images to be included in multimedia/newmedia products. Operate computers to manipulate photographic images. Study requirements of a particular assignment and decide on type of camera, film, lighting and background accessories to be used. Take pictures of individuals, families, groups and public. Use airbrush, computer or other techniques to retouch negatives. Maintain and manage digital database. Liaise with authors, composers, producers and directors. Operate various computer-controlled studio systems to perform colour separation, retouching and editing that allow changes to be made to a colour negative for printing purposes. Photographic techniques: Digital photo imaging. Adobe Photoshop. Technical operations experience: Sound recording and mixing. Photographic experience: General. Sports. Multimedia.
