About the PositionThe Drummondville, QC Animal Nutrition plant manager will drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes and will oversee all daily operations of the plant including Environmental, Health and Safety, Human Resource Management, Production Operations, and Engineering, Maintenance, Warehousing and Supply Chain functions.The Plant Manager will They develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity on behalf of ADM Animal Nutrition.Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead a plant culture focused on human and food safety; prioritizing safety and quality over outputCollaborate with health/safety managers to develop, implement and sustain safety policies for site operationsCommit to and develop an engaged safety culture for all colleaguesPlanning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers' expectationsIncreasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standardsResponsibility for production output, product quality and on-time shippingAllocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal resultsImplement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focusMonitor operations and trigger corrective actionsShare a trusting relationship with all colleagues and recruit, manage and develop operations staffCollect and analyze data to find opportunities for improvementDevelop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assetsActive, hands-on involvement and daily presence within the facilitySupport all colleagues, managers and supervisors, to ensure job and safety training programs are being completedEnsure that the facility is compliant with the law, regulatory requirements, and Company programs to support our Quality Assurance and Food Safety plansRespond to and follow up on Customer complaints, while working alongside Commercial leadership to resolve issues.
