Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Tasks: Assemble mechanical parts into subassemblies. Assemble, fit and install prefabricated parts to form subassemblies or finished products. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Assemble or connect electrical components. Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly. Connect cables, tubes and wires. Operate automated assembling equipment. Fasten parts together using fastening and joining equipment. Operate small cranes to transport or position larger parts. Check mechanical assemblies and subassemblies for alignment and proper functioning. Test and check electrical assemblies and wiring for proper connection. Make minor adjustments and repairs. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Overhead Crane Certification.
