Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Collect blood, tissue or other samples from patients. Log patient samples and prepare them for testing. Set up medical laboratory equipment. Conduct routine laboratory tests and sample analyses. Clean and maintain medical laboratory and laboratory equipment. Conduct quality control assessment of testing techniques. Arrange for radiographic examinations of patients for autopsy. Clean and maintain autopsy, surgical and other equipment. Collect tissue specimens for chemical analysis and record findings. Discard specimens according to established safety procedures. Dissect, examine, weigh organs. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Access. MS Excel. MS Outlook. MS PowerPoint. MS Project. MS Word. Security and safety: Criminal record check.
