Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness or sports activities and techniques. Schedule activities. Instruct groups and individuals in arts and crafts. Assist with coordination of recreational, sport and fitness events . Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs. Plan and carry out recreational, fitness and sports activities. Understand principles of group dynamics. Leading/instructing groups. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Assemble supplies, sports and game equipment. Monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required. Supervise and care for children. Co-ordinate recreation activities. Supervision: 5-10 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Fundamental movement skills¿(FMS)¿training. HIGH FIVE training (principles of healthy child development). CPR Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Child Abuse Registry check. Vulnerable sector check. Personal suitability: Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills. Interpersonal awareness. Judgement. Organized. Reliability. Team player. Positive attitude. Screening questions: Are you available for the advertised start date?. Are you currently a student?.
