Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Check and weigh materials and products. Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products. Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers. Perform other labouring and elemental activities. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Operate sandblasting equipment to cut inscriptions or decorative designs in monumental stone. Operate machines to drill holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications. Operate machines to grind and polish surfaces of stone blocks, slabs or other stone products to specific shape or design and to produce a smooth finish. Operate blade or wire saws to cut blocks of stone to specified dimensions. Cut materials using power tools or by hand. Check final assembly for finish, labelling and packaging methods. Transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Standing for extended periods. Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
