Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements. Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Survey building locations and levels. Instruct apprentices. Supervise other workers. Estimate costs and materials. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Physically demanding. Work with minimal supervision. Personal suitability: Accurate. Judgement. Team player. Punctuality. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Support for newcomers and refugees: Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
