*General Accountability:*
As a technical sales representative, you will be self-motivated, and responsible for driving sales and achieving sales forecasts and goals. You will be primarily engaging industry-related accounts in Municipal, OEM, O&G, Mining, P&P, and Chemical. This includes calling on engineering, maintenance, procurement, operations, and head office/corporate stakeholders. You will be working with a team of technical inside sales staff, product managers, and engineers and receive additional product support from our distribution manufacturers. You will report directly to the local sales manager and will be a part of the sales team for A.R. Thomson Group Inc.
The successful candidate will undergo several levels of product and industry-related training and will be considered for the career development program as you progress in your career.
We expect our sales representatives to have a strong work ethic and a results-driven attitude. Must have a strong professional image and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, suppliers, and customers.
*Roles & Responsibilities:*
* Secure and develop sales at existing accounts and identify new opportunities for sales growth in the territory.
* Establish a strong business relationship with all members of the buying center and be on a first-name basis with each.
* Develop a daily/weekly/monthly call plan using the programs available to ensure effective travel planning and time management.
* Plan sales activity at each account and set sales goals and strategies by product line.
* Provide timely communication to the Sales Manager as required to report the results of your call activity and the effectiveness of the overall regional/corporate Marketing and Sales strategy.
* Communicate customer concerns and needs to various managers and help develop procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Make joint calls with Sales Managers and Product Managers to support specific product initiatives and corporate objectives.
* Promote and facilitate customer product training and seminars utilizing Product Managers and Specialists within AR Thomson Group Inc.
* Ensure company Sales and Marketing objectives are met with respect to profit margin, policy, and product line sales.
* Be available to participate in social functions and entertainment involving ARTGI and/or its customers both during and after regular business hours.
