Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Assist in inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects. Assist in preparing design, drawings and specifications. Assist in the design of moulds, tools, dies, jigs and fixtures. Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components and materials. Participate in machinery installation, repair and maintenance. Supervision: 3-4 people. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Ability to distinguish between colours. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling.
