This term position is effective immediately ending on or about April 17, 2025 and is due to term funding. <p>The York Region District School Board (YRDSB) supports a flexible working culture and currently provides the opportunity for employees to work from home in addition to working in the office for some positions. The YRDSB implemented Working From Home Guidelines to facilitate this work option. Please note, this does not apply for school based positions. <p>In compliance with Board policies and procedures, this position is responsible for supporting the administration of the day- to-day compensation activities and special projects within Human Resource Services ensuring all relevant information is efficiently recorded, stored and reported to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.Major Responsibilities: <p> To lead special projects with direction provided by the Supervisor. This would include locating documentation, entering data to the HRIS system and liaising with various staff members.<p> To assist with investigating audits and advising representatives of the necessary corrections.<p> To train and monitor newly hired Compensation Representatives while informing the Supervisor of accrued progress.<p> To record and process biweekly, all information and/or changes received for all employees of the Board on the HRIS.<p> To assist in the administration of the day to day functions of the Compensation Representatives and ensure timely processing of paperwork to meet a series of payroll related and other deadlines.<p> To assist in the workflow of the Compensation Representatives, and other employees assigned to the team.<p> To assist and guide the Compensation Representatives in problem solving issues involving the HRIS and/or compensation procedures that may arise in the day to day operations.<p> To support cyclical processes, including experience updates, salary increase, summer School, night School and other Ministry driven programs.<p> To identify and resolve system errors indicated on HRIS bi-weekly reports.<p> To assist in the processing of retroactive salary and position adjustments resulting from job evaluation and reclassification or due to any other reason for all employee groups.<p> To track and process all merit increases for union and non-union staff, as required.<p> To assist in the maintenance of master set-up and other system procedures in the HRIS system.<p> To research, investigate and problem solve any issues pertaining to employee compensation.<p> To assist in responding to queries from governmental agencies and financial institutions, as required.<p> To support overseeing the Reception team in Human Resource Services and arrange for the replacement during the school break periods and absences.<p> To provide information and assistance to clients of the Board, as required.<p> To attend meetings and participate in committees, as required.<p> To perform other duties as assigned. Line of Responsibility: <p>Responsible to the Supervisor, Compensation Services.<p>Education, Experience, and Qualifications: A three-year college diploma in human resources management or a related discipline or equivalent, as approved by the Board.<p> Minimum three years in human resources administration or related experience is required.<p> Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, organizational and computer skills are required.<p> Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals and groups both within and outside the Board is required. <p>Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Statement <p>The York Region District School Board (YRDSB) believes
