*Production Manager - Embroidery & Silk Screening*
At Cap-abilities, we owe our success to the efficiency of our organizational processes. To help maintain and grow this standard, we?re seeking an experienced operations manager to oversee daily activities.
You?ll be highly skilled in human resources, sales, finance, and IT management. Additionally, you?ll display a proven ability to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within your team. Your ultimate responsibility is to increase our operational efficiency in the sales/operations department.
*Objectives of this Role:*
* Maintain constant communication with customers, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the organization
* Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols
* Enhance and maintain the internal capacity of the organization by improving the efficiency of both current and required organizational processes and procedures
* Actively pursue strategic and operational objectives
* Develop a Social Media Strategy
* Develop an online ordering system
* Ensure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budget
* Track staffing requirements and hire new employees, as needed
* Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable departments
* Develop Human Resources Policies and SOP procedures
* Explore growth opportunities by reaching out to new businesses to promote our products, thereby expanding our presence and boosting our sales
*Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:*
* Lead, motivate, and support a small team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment
* Provide direction and guidance to the production department by effectively communicating the goals and objectives set forth by the company
* Manage quality and quantity of employees to maximize productivity
* Manage timely data collection to update operations metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service
* Partner with cross-functional support team members in improving the proprietary tools and systems
* Work closely with legal and safety departments to make sure activities remain compliant
* Oversee materials and inventory management
* Conduct negotiations with contractors, suppliers and vendors to ensure fair bargain for goods and services
* Ensure production complies with established quality control specifications and standards
* Collaborate with sales staff to implement strategies that will improve the marketability of manufactured products
* Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to upper management
* Oversee the hiring, orientation and training of technical production employees
* Conduct employee probationary and annual performance reviews
*Skills and Qualifications:*
* Bachelor?s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field
* Minimum of 3 years? proven experience in an operations management position
* Strong budget development and oversight skills
* Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office ( _e.g.,_ Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Point of Sales experience is a requirement
* Class 5 Drivers License
* Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service
* Highly trained in conflict management and business negotiation processes
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
