Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Bill of lading. Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Trip reports. Communication systems experience: Trip recorder (on-board computer). Transportation/travel experience: Long-haul. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Overtime required. Physically demanding. Sitting. Experience: Will train.- LocationEdmonton, AB
