St. Albert Public Schools is currently recruiting a Full Time, Probationary, Technical Analyst 2 for a work assignment with the Information Services department. <p>More than 9000 students are enrolled in St. Albert Public Schools. From Preschool to Grade 12, our students learn and succeed in programs that are recognized for excellence and their focus on citizenship and sound values.Hours of Work : 35 hrs./week; 7 hrs./day; Monday-Friday; Full Time Probationary<p>Hourly Rate: $28.81 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement<p>Start Date: As soon as possibleSpecific Needs/Requirements for this position: <p> Intermediate to advanced knowledge of desktop computer operating systems, software applications, and troubleshooting procedures.<p> General to intermediate knowledge of some enterprise level software and management systems.<p> General knowledge of security best practices such as 2FA and phishing mitigation.<p> Understanding of operational practices and strong communication and problem-solving skills.<p> Collaboratively work as a member of the Information services team to make recommendations/resolve issues.<p> Ability to manage multiple priorities.<p> Ability to independently troubleshoot most levels of software and hardware problems.<p> Perform duties within policies, procedures, and schedules<p> Working in conjunction with the Information Services Manager, assist in determine priorities of problems/assistance and an appropriate approach.Qualifications & Experience: <p> Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are mandatory<p> Diploma/degree in a related field preferred<p> Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are an advantage<p> 1 year of closely related education can be substituted for 1 year of experience<p> 3 years minimum experience in computer hardware and software installation, computer and network installation and support, trouble-shooting, and maintenance.In accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement, this position offers a comprehensive benefits package found under Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan. <p>All completed applications received by the deadline will be considered. <p>However, only short listed candidates will be contacted. <p>All new employees to St. Albert Public Schools are required to submit a recent (within 6 months), <p>clear Criminal Record Check prior to commencement of employment.
