Posting Number: T24-34<p>Date Issued: April 15, 2024 POSITION <p>Worksite: Learning Services / Various Schools<p>Contract Type: Temporary, Full-Time<p>Assignment Area(s): District Middle School Inclusion and Collaboration Support Teacher<p>Salary Range: $50,000 to $107,000 (range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance to the collective agreement) <p>Effective Date: Immediately until not later than June 30, 2024<p>Deadline for Applications: April 23, 2024 12:00 pmElectronic Applications must be submitted through Make a Future www.makeafuture.ca and include a Cover Letter, Resume, Teaching Report, Transcripts & the names of 2 current supervisors who can comment on your teaching.Required Abilities, Qualifications and Experience:<p> ?extensive academic training, professional preparation, and qualifications in teaching in all areas of this assignment<p>?knowledge of, and successful experience with, the application of the Ministry of Educations current philosophy, teaching practices and evaluation/assessment/reporting procedures as applied to all areas of this assignment<p>?post-secondary coursework and successful experience in teaching students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs<p>?demonstrated ability to connect student learning to community opportunities<p>?extensive academic training and post graduate coursework in the following areas: students with diverse needs; strategies for adapting and modifying curriculum<p>?demonstrated ability to build strong connections and relationships with students, staff, and parents<p>?demonstrated willingness to participate as an integral member of the SD 33 Bridge team and middle school teams in supporting grade 8 to 9 transitions as necessary<p>?demonstrated success at working with and coordinating SEL programs with the Student Services Bridge team<p>?demonstrated sensitivity, awareness and understanding of young adolescent development and enthusiasm for working and fostering a positive relationship with students with multiple challenges<p>?knowledge of, and demonstrated application of the Ministry of Educations current philosophy, teaching practices, and evaluation/assessment/reporting procedures as outlined in the Manual of Policies, Procedures and Guidelines for Special Education Services<p>?demonstrated ability to use co-regulated strategies that enable students to self-regulate behaviors<p>?knowledge of trauma-informed practice and demonstrated ability to implement trauma-informed strategies<p>?demonstrated experience with mental health literacy and how it applies to SEL<p>?training in anxiety strategies for youth <p>demonstrated ability and willingness to effectively use classroom, school, district, and provincial level assessments to differentiate instruction and learning (formative and summative)<p>?demonstrated experience and ability in being able to carry out a variety of assessments, including classroom observation, curriculum-based assessment and diagnostic teaching methods, and FBA assessments<p>?knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of competency-based CBIEPs in consultation with the classroom teacher(s), parent(s), student, and district personnel<p>?proven ability in using UDL to meet the diverse individual needs of students<p>?demonstrated ability to motivate and provide success for students who experience difficulties with learning and/or emotional regulation and require additional support through student services<p>?working knowledge of and willingness to support Positive Behavior Support initiatives both in the classroom and in the larger school community<p>?demonstrated excellence in the area of interpersonal skills, communication, and collaboration<p>?demonstrated ability in teaching students how to improve
