Responsibilities
Tasks

Gather information on current government policies regarding recreation, sports and physical activities

Make recommendations on possible government policies related to recreation, sports and physical activities

Supervise professional staff, program leaders and instructors and volunteer staff

Conduct research and develop government policies related to recreation, sports, fitness and athletic safety and standards

Prepare research papers, educational texts or articles

Perform administrative tasks

Co-ordinate special events

Provide expert advice and consulting services in the design, development and administration of sports, fitness and recreation programs and activities
