*Position Overview:*
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Accountant to join our team. As a Chartered Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of our organization. You will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, conducting audits, and providing strategic financial advice to support informed decision-making.
*Responsibilities:*
* *Financial Reporting:* Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant standards.
* *Budgeting and Forecasting:* Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor variances between actual and budgeted financial performance and provide explanations and recommendations as needed.
* *Tax Planning and Compliance:* Manage tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, GST/VAT, and other relevant filings.
* *Audit and Assurance:* Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement. Coordinate external audits with independent auditors and provide support as needed to ensure timely completion and compliance.
* *Financial Analysis:* Perform financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including profitability analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and financial modeling. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and provide recommendations to management.
* *Cash Management:* Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure adequate funds are available for operating activities, debt servicing, and investment opportunities. Monitor banking relationships and optimize cash management processes.
* *Compliance and Risk Management:* Stay current with regulatory changes and ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations. Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks and safeguard assets.
* *Financial Advisory:* Provide strategic financial advice and recommendations to management to support business growth, expansion, and investment decisions. Assist in evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
*Qualifications:*
* *Professional Certification:* Chartered Accountant (CA) designation or equivalent certification is required. Membership in a recognized professional accounting body is preferred.
* *Experience:* Proven experience in accounting, finance, or related fields, with a minimum of [insert number] years of relevant experience. Experience in public accounting, corporate finance, or auditing is an asset.
* *Technical Skills:* Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Advanced Excel skills are highly desirable.
