Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Construction. Various locations. Renovation. Willing to relocate. Commercial. Millwork/pre-fab shopwork. Residential. Level of expertise: Maintenance and repair. Tasks: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Work with minimal supervision.
