Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system. Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines. Install supports, valves, piping and control systems. Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size. Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system. Select type and size of pipe required. Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Steamfitter and Pipefitter Trade Certification. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Health benefits: Dental plan. Health care plan.
