Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Installation. Service. Various locations. Tasks: Prepare tenders and quotations. Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces. Calculate heating and cooling loads, design duct systems and select equipment for residential and small commercial construction. Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification. Develop computerized pattern and layout. Instruct apprentices. Cut materials using power tools or by hand. Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment. Operate CADD and other computer software systems. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Fit and join sheet metal parts. Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes. Security and safety: Bondable. Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youths. Support for Veterans: Recruits Veterans and other candidates with military experience through targeted hiring initiatives (for example: job fairs, outreach programs etc.) .
