Stay to experience a progressive<p>career path with an employer that is dedicated in providing a positive working<p>environment, along with competitive compensation and benefits! <p>TEMPORARY VACANCY One (1) Temporary Full-time (1.0 FTE, 35 hours/week) Accounting Clerk<p>(12 months per year) START DATE: As soon as possible END DATE: January 3, 2025<p>End dates for all temporary vacancies will end early if incumbent<p>returns or circumstances change. <p>WORK LOCATION: Bluewater District School Board, Accounting/ Financial Services <p>SUPERVISOR : Mindy Guilherme, Accounting Supervisor <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: <p> <p>Maintain accounts payable<p>system, including batch processing, balancing and reconciliation processes.<p> <p>Verify accuracy and<p>completeness of documentation related to invoices and requisitions.<p> <p>Preparation of weekly<p>cheque runs and EFT payment processing.<p> <p>Liase with vendors and<p>staff regarding status of accounts and resolve matters of question.<p> <p>Process journal entries.<p> <p>Maintain and setup Deferred<p>Salary Leave records and transfers (biweekly).<p> <p>Prepare and reconcile board<p>information related to claims, recoveries and rebates. <p> <p>Assist the accounting<p>department and school office staff in accounting and reconciliation procedures.<p> <p>Complete monthly, quarterly<p>and year-end account reconciliations.<p> <p>Develop and deliver<p>training modules to Board staff as needed. <p> <p>Account analysis and<p>reconciliations as assigned.<p> <p>Other duties as<p>required. <p>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: <p> <p>College Diploma with an<p>Accounting focus or equivalent required.<p> <p>Minimum two (2) years<p>accounting experience in a mid to large multifaceted computerized corporate<p>environment. <p>ASSETS: <p> <p>Knowledge of Public Sector<p>Accounting Board (PSAB) accounting standards, and Canadian Generally Accepted<p>Accounting Principles (GAAP).<p> <p>Working knowledge of an<p>accounting data base such as K212 Finance or equivalent.<p> <p>Must have a high aptitude<p>in computer skills (Excel, Accounting software, Word).<p> <p>Demonstrated sound<p>decision-making skills involving the use of initiative, judgment and<p>resourcefulness with the ability to plan work from general procedures.<p> <p>Attention to detail and the<p>ability to multitask. <p> <p>Strong communication and<p>analytical ability with excellent interpersonal, organizational and<p>problem-solving skills.<p> <p>Self-motivated team member<p>with excellent time management skills. <p>JOB REQUIREMENTS: <p> <p>Eligible to work in Canada.<p> <p>Clean criminal record check <p>Application Process: <p>Qualified applicants are
