Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Transport and handle dangerous goods. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel for extended periods. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Repetitive tasks. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Experience: Will train.
