Tasks: Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, components and systems. Design power plants, machines and equipment. Analyze dynamics and vibrations of mechanical systems and structures. Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems. Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems. Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates. Develop risk management plans. Print in 3D. Design and develop medical diagnostic and clinical instrumentation, equipment and procedures. Prepare reports. Develop and conduct design verification simulations and prototype bench tests of components. Supervision: No supervision responsibility. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : SOLIDWORKS Certification. Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association. Computer and technology knowledge: SolidWorks software. MS Windows. SAP (FI/CO / HR / MM / OT SD). Computer-aided design (CAD). MS Office. MS Excel. Industrial processes and biological studies: Product development. Area of work experience: Fabrication. Design. Medical instruments and devices. Specialization or experience: 3D Modeling. Area of specialization: Drafting. Furniture design. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Public transportation is available. Valid driver's licence.
