Education: Bachelor's degree. Tasks: Design, develop and implement information systems business solutions. Develop data, process and network models to optimize architecture and to evaluate the performance and reliability of designs. Conduct research and provide advice to other informatics professionals regarding the selection application and implementation of database management tools. Plan, design and co-ordinate the development, installation, integration and operation of computer-based systems. Provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management and service delivery. Assess, troubleshoot, document, upgrade and develop maintenance procedures for operating systems, communications environments and applications software. Develop and implement data administration policy, standards and models. Research and document data requirements, data collection and administration policy, and data access rules.
