Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: In shop. Tasks: Read blueprints and drawings. Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend the replacement of machines. Develop production schedules and maintain an inventory of raw materials and finished products. Direct quality control inspections. Hire, supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques. Organize and maintain inventory. Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work. Plan and manage the establishment of departmental budget. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations. Supervision: 5-10 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9000, 9001 quality management certified. Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic mail. Internet. MS Windows. Types of systems: Vessels and boilers. Type of industry experience: Fabricated metal. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Attention to detail.
