Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Pipefitting/pipefitter and sprinkler fitter. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: At heights. Confined spaces. Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer. Willing to relocate. In shop. Testing. Tasks: Join pipes and piping sections using soldering and welding equipment. Test system for leaks using air or liquid pressure equipment. Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system. Install supports, valves, piping and control systems. Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size. Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system. Test system for leaks using testing equipment. Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Utilize hand and power tools. Read blueprint, schemas and drawings. Operate forklift. Install, test, maintain and repair piping systems. Inspect products to determine the requirements for repair. Inspect or test structures and equipment for deterioration, defects or failure to comply with specifications or regulations. Assist trucks and delivery drivers to load and unload vehicles. Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow directions and read map. Welding experience. Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Driver's License. Steamfitter and Pipefitter Trade Certification.
