Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Tasks: Set up and operate finishing machines or finish furniture by hand. Stain or finish wood to specified colour. Apply toners, highlights, glazes or shaders to obtain desired finish. Apply lacquer or other sealers. Decorate wood surfaces. Clean, polish and wax furniture. Smooth gouges with wood filler and sand wood. Make minor repairs to furniture. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Fast-paced environment. Overtime required. Personal suitability: Flexibility. Organized.
